Activity of macrocyclic jatrophane diterpenes from Euphorbia kansui in a TrkA fibroblast survival assay.
Three new macrocyclic diterpenes, kansuinins F (1), G (2), and H (3), together with four known jatrophane diterpenes, kansuinins D (4), E (5), and A (6) and 3beta,5alpha,7beta,15beta-tetraacetoxy-9alpha-nicotinoyloxyjatropha-6(17)-11E-dien-14-one, were isolated from the roots of Euphorbia kansui. Compounds 1 and 2 were assigned as 6(17)-en-11,12-epoxy-14-one-type jatrophane diterpenes, and comp...
متن کاملTumor promoting diterpenes from Euphorbia leuconeura L.
Diterpene esters of the phorbol and ingenol types are known to be highly active tumor promoting agents that typically occur in members of the Euphorbiaceae. In the present work, Euphorbia leuconeura, a rare indoor plant, is analyzed for its tumor promoting potential. Latex as well as total leaf extracts exhibited Epstein-Barr-virus (EBV) inducing activity comparable to 12-O-tetradecanoyl-phorbo...
متن کاملThree antinematodal diterpenes from Euphorbia kansui.
Three compounds, 20-O-acetyl-[3-O-(2'E,4'Z)-decadienoyl]-ingenol (1), 20-O-acetyl-[5-O-(2'E,4'Z)-decadienoyl]-ingenol (2) and 3-O-(2'E,4'Z)-decadienoylingenol (3), were isolated from Euphorbia kansui under the bioassay-guided method. Each compound showed the same antinematodal activity against the nematode, Bursaphelenchus xylophilus, at a minimum effective dose (MED) of 5 microg/cotton ball.
متن کاملBioactive Segetane, Ingenane, and Jatrophane Diterpenes from Euphorbia taurinensis.
A novel segetane (1: ) and jatrophane diterpene (2: ), together with five known diterpenoids possessing segetane (3: ), jatrophane (4: ), and ingenane skeletons (5 - 7: ), were isolated from the methanol extract of Euphorbia taurinensis All. The structure elucidation of the compounds was performed by means of extensive spectroscopic analysis, including HRESIMS and 1D (1H, J-modulated spin-echo ...
متن کاملTermiticidal activity of diterpenes from the roots of Euphorbia kansui.
Five ingenane compounds, 1-5, kansuinins A and B, isolated from Euphorbia kansui, and their derivatives 7 and 9 were tested for termiticidal activity against the Japanese termite, Reticulitermes speratus. At 72 hours after treatment, the ingenane compounds 1 to 5 caused 100% mortality in R. speratus at 50, 25 and 12.5 microg/disk, respectively, except for compound 1, which gave a mortality rate...
